France's stock market closed mixed; CAC 40 added 0.04%

The French stock market closed Thursday trading in different directions due to strengthening of the banking services, oil and gas and electronic equipment sectors, and negative dynamics from automotive industry, production of goods for recreation and beverage manufacturers.

At the close of the Paris stock exchange, CAC 40 rose 0.04%, and SBF 120 index fell 0.02%.

The leaders of growth among CAC 40 index components were the shares of ArcelorMittal SA (AS: ISPA), which went up by 0.36 p (10.72%), closing at 3.69. Quotes of Technip (PA: TECF) rose 2.10 p. (5.02%), ending trading at 43.81. Papers of Schneider Electric SE (PA: SCHN) rose 1.83 h (3.84%), closing at 49.35.

Leaders of falling were shares of Valeo SA (PA: VLOF), the price of which has fallen by 4.05 (3.54%), ending the session at around 110.45. Shares of Renault SA (PA: RENA) rose 2.49 h (3.30%) to close at 72.88, and Alstom SA (PA: ALSO) decreased in price by 0.65 h (2.74. %) and finished trading at around 23.10.

The leaders of growth of SBF 120 index were the shares of ArcelorMittal SA (AS: ISPA), which rose by 10.72% to reach 3.69, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (PA: CASP), which got 6.51 %, to close at 41.55, as well as Aperam shares (aS: APAM), which rose by 6.30%, ending the session at around 29.02.

Leaders of falling were shares of Technicolor SA (PA: TCH), which fell in price by 8.97%, closing at 5.726. Shares of Faurecia (PA: EPED) lost 5.61% and finished the session at 29.79, and quotes of Ipsen (PA: IPN) declined in price by 3.70% to reach 50.54.

At the Paris stock exchange the number of cheapened securities (377) exceeded the number closed higher (268), and quotes of 108 shares remained virtually unchanged.

The volatility index –CAC 40 VIX index, which is based on options trading indicators on CAC 40, fell 3.78% to reach 28.99.

Meanwhile, EUR/USD pair rose 0.80% to 1.1194, and EUR/GBP rose 0.95%, reaching 0.7679.

USD index fell 0.65% to 96.61.
