French commercial court clerks will begin using the IBM blockchain platform to register changes in the legal status of companies in the country starting this year.
Clerks working in commercial courts throughout France will deploy the network, developed jointly by IBM and the National Council of Clerks (NCC), from this year. The blockchain platform is built based on Blockchain Fabric and is aimed at increasing the transparency and efficiency of transactions related to the life cycle of companies in the registry. The project description says:
“The solution will be used to register and exchange data related to the exchange of regulatory information related to the difficulties of companies, as well as changes in the status of companies registered in France. We are talking about such data as changing the name of the company, registering with the court, setting up branches and liquidating the business. ”
As part of the pilot project, the NCC was able to reduce the time required for updating the registry from several days to one day. According to senior manager Vincent Fournier (Vincent Fournier), responsible for development at IBM France, the technology is ideal for this use - it improves the clerks' business processes and adapts to the ever-changing nature of their missions.
Note that, according to a study conducted by The Next Web, IBM offers the largest number of vacancies related to the blockchain.
In addition, this week IBM has teamed up with a consortium of credit unions CULedger to develop new solutions based on the blockchain. These solutions can improve services such as authentication using digital identification, compliance with the requirements of the credit and payment services, as well as other consumer processes that require authentication.
Previously, IBM applied for two patents in the field of blockchain, aimed at network security and focused on database management.
