German DAX rose to record high

The German stock market finished Friday session higher due to the strengthening of the food and beverage, the chemical industry and core resources sectors.

At the close on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, DAX 30 rose 1.25% to a record high, MDAX index rose 0.91%, and TecDAX index gained 0.38%.

The best performers among the components of the DAX 30 index were the shares of BAYER AG (DE: BAYGN), which went up by 2.55 points (2.14%), closing at around 121.60. Quotes of Siemens AG (DE: SIEGn) increased by 2.65 points (2.09%), finishing the trading at the level of 129.50 and shares of Linde AG (DE: LING) rose in price by 3.45 points (1.99%), to close at around 176.50.

The worst results came from the shares of Commerzbank AG (DE: CBKG), the price of which fell 0.053 points (0.56%), to 9.354. Shares of RWE AG (DE: RWEG) fell 0.050 points (0.27%), to close at 18.160, while Deutsche Bank AG (DE: DBKGn) declined by 0.020 points (0.13%) and completed finished at around 15.590.

The leader of growth among the components of the MDAX index were the shares of Aurubis AG (DE: NAFG), which went up by 2.62% to 72.180, while the worst performer was Fielmann AG (DE: FIEG), which fell in price by 1.44%, to close at 71.750.

The leaders of growth among the components of the TecDAX index were Medigene (DE: MDG1k) shares, which went up by 6.35% to 11.800, while the worst results came from Freenet AG (DE: FNTGn), which fell in price by 4.04%, to close at around 30.515.

On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the number of growing securities (514) exceeded the number of those closed in the red (261), while quotations of 16 shares remained virtually unchanged.

Meanwhile, in the Forex market, EUR/USD added 0.52% to 1.1271, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to reach 0.8749.
