The German stock market finished Friday session higher due to the strengthening of utilities, basic resources and the media sectors.
At the close of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, DAX 30 rose 0.46% to 52-week highs, MDAX index gained 0.46%, and TecDAX index gained 0.32%.
The growth leaders among the components of the DAX 30 index were the shares of RWE AG (DE: RWEG), which rose 0.450 p. (2.98%), to 15.535. Quotes of E.ON AG (DE: EONGn) increased by 0.149 points (2.04%), to 7.451. Shares of Pro Sieben (DE: PSMGn) rose in price by 0.530 p. (1.29%), to close at 41.505.
The worst results came from the shares of Commerzbank AG (DE: CBKG), whose price fell by 0.059 points (0.69%), finishing the session at 8.478. Continental AG (DE: CONG) fell 0.80 points (0.39%), closing at 205.50, and Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE: HEIG) fell in price by 0.2200 p. (0.25%) to 87.7600.
The leaders of growth among the components of the MDAX index were shares of Aurubis AG (DE: NAFG), which went up by 3.78% to 62.820, Stroeer SE (DE: SAXG), which gained 2.90%, to close at the level of 52.180, as well as shares of Symrise AG (DE: SY1G), which increased by 2.70%, finishing the session at around 62.340.
The worst performers were the shares of Steinhoff International Holdings NV (DE: SNHG), which fell in price by 3.04%, to close at around 4.53. Shares of Lanxess (DE: LXSG) lost 1.30% and finished the session at 62.890. Quotes of Suedzucker AG (DE: SZUG) fell in price by 0.93% to 23.520.
The leaders of growth among the components of the TecDAX index were shares of Nemetschek AG (DE: NEKG), which rose in price by 9.27% to 56.230, Evotec AG (DE: EVTG), which gained 2.33% to 9.149, as well as shares of Drägerwerk AG & Co (DE: DRWG_p), which rose by 1.87%, finishing the session at around 96.380.
The worst results came from the shares of Xing AG (DE: OBCGn), which fell in price by 1.60%, to close at around 193.90. Shares of Jenoptik AG (DE: JENG) lost 1.09% and finished the session at the level of 23.240. Quotes of SMA Solar Technology AG (DE: S92G) fell in price by 1.02% to 23.675.
On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the number of advancing securities (456) exceeded the number of closed in the red territory (281), while the quotes of 32 shares remained virtually unchanged.
Meanwhile, on the Forex market, EUR/USD rose 0.18% to 1.0695 and EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8536.
The USD index fell 0.25% to 100.20.
