German stock market was mixed; DAX 30 added 0.12%

The German stock market finished Friday session mixed amid the strengthening of software, industry and construction sectors and negative dynamics on the part of utilities, food and beverages, and transport and logistics sectors.

At the close of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, DAX 30 rose 0.12%, reaching a 52-week high, MDAX index fell 0.12%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.01%.

The leaders of growth among the DAX 30 index components were the shares of SAP SE (DE: SAPG), which rose 0.970 p (1.17%), closing at 83.660. The quotes of Deutsche Bank AG (DE: DBKGn) increased by 0.205 p (1.13%), ending trading at 18.320. The shares of Continental AG (DE: CONG) rose 2.050 p (1.10%) to close at 188.300.

Leaders of falling were the shares of Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE: LHAG), the price of which has fallen by 0.400 p (3.13%), ending the session at around 12.395, the shares of RWE AG (DE: RWEG), which fell 0.185 p (1.54%) to close at 11.800, and Merck KGaA (DE: MRCG) decreased in price by 0.850 p (0.83%) and closed trading at around 102.150.

The leaders of growth among the MDAX index components were the shares of Leoni AG (DE: LEOGn), up 1.96% to 36.090, Zalando SE (DE: ZALG), up 1.59% to 37.35 and shares of Bilfinger SE (DE: GBFG), which rose 1.28%, to 38.000.

The worst performers were the shares of GEA Group AG (DE: G1AG), which fell in price by 1.73%, closing at 38.150, shares of the company Evonik Industries AG (DE: EVKn), which lost 1.72% to 27.635, and K + S AG NA O.N. (DE: SDFGn) shares fell 1.25% to reach 22.555.

The leaders of growth among the TecDAX index components were the shares of United Internet AG (DE: UTDI), which rose 2.26% to reach 38.470, while the worst results came from the shares of SMA Solar Technology AG (DE: S92G), which fell in price by 2.63%, closing at 25.400.

On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the number of advancing securities (372) exceeded the number closed in the red (347), while the shares of 30 shares remained virtually unchanged.

Meanwhile, EUR/USD fell 0.52% to 1.0549, and EUR/GBP rose 0.32%, reaching 0.8568.

The USD Index rose 0.64% to 102.04.
