The German stock market closed Friday trading higher due to basic resources, transport and logistics industry sectors.
At the close of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, DAX 30 rose 0.74%, reaching a month high, MDAX index rose 0.71%, and TecDAX index added 0.24%.
The leaders of growth among DAX 30 index components were the shares of Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE: LHAG), which rose 0.590 p. (4.24%), closing at 14.490. Quotes of Volkswagen AG Vz (DE: VOWG_p) increased by 4.850 p (4.18%), ending trading at 121.000. Shares of ThyssenKrupp AG (DE: TKAG) rose 0.515 p. (3.12%), closing at 17.030.
Leaders of falling were shares of Deutsche Borse AG (DE: DB1Gn), the price of which has fallen by 1.580 p. (2.02%), ending the session at around 76.620. Shares of Fresenius SE Vz (DE: FREG) rose 1.140 p (1.85%) to 60.350 and Continental AG (DE: CONG) fell 3.650 p. (1.81%) to 198.200.
The leaders of growth among MDAX index components were shares of Salzgitter (DE: SZGG), which rose 5.37% to reach 23.235, Kloeckner (DE: KCOGn), which gained 4.74% to 9.076, as well as shares Elringklinger (DE: ZILGn), which rose 4.45%, ending the session at around 23.215.
Leaders of falling were shares of Axel Springer SE (DE: SPRGn), which fell in price by 2.49%, closing at 46.285. Shares of Duerr (DE: DUEG) lost 1.66% and finished the session at 62.100. Quotes of Pro Sieben (DE: PSMGn) decreased in price by 1.20% to reach 46.155.
The leaders of growth among TecDAX index components were shares of Kontron (DE: KBCG), which rose 4.18% to reach 3.660. PSI AG (DE: PSAGn) gained 4.06%, to close at 14.490, and STRATEC Biomedical AG (DE: SBSG) rose 1.67%, to 52.300.
Worst performer was Morphosys (DE: MORG), which fell in price by 3.01%, closing at 41.350. Shares of SMA Solar Technology AG (DE: S92G) lost 2.52% and finished the session at the level of 41.965. Quotes of Adva (DE: ADAG) have fallen in price by 2.27% to reach 9.668.
On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the number of advancing securities (514) exceeded the number closed in the red (244), while quotations of 16 shares remained virtually unchanged.
Volatility Index – DAX volatility, which is based on options trading indicators on DAX 30, fell 7.48% to a mark of 21.77, reaching a new month low.
Meanwhile, EUR/USD rose 0.39% to 1.1000, and EUR/GBP rose 0.06%, reaching 0.7733.
USD index fell 0.30% to 97.32.
