The European stocks note an uptrend

On Wednesday, the European stock indices opened with an uptrend after the Bank of Japan announced new measures of monetary policy, and investors are now focused on the political decision of the Federal Reserve later in the session.

During European morning trade, EURO STOXX 50 rose 1.13%, France's CAC 40 rose 1.21%, while Germany's DAX 30 added 1.03%.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Bank of Japan abandoned the targeting the monetary base and instead set "control of the yield curve", involving the purchase of long-term government bonds to keep yields on 10-year bonds close to current levels (close to 0%).

The central bank also said it would continue to buy long-term government bonds, allowing the growth of its assets by 80 trillion yen per year.

In addition, the Japanese central bank kept interest rates on the negative mark, at - 0.1%.

The financial sector has noted a sharp rise as French lenders BNP Paribas (PA: BNPP) and Societe Generale (PA: SOGN) jumped 3.35% and 3.51%, while German Deutsche Bank (DE: DBKGn) and Commerzbank (DE: CBKG) rose 1.50% and 1.97%.

Among the peripheral lenders, the Italian Intesa Sanpaolo (MI: ISP) and Unicredit (MI: CRDI) rose 2.93% and 3.93%, while Spanish BBVA (MC: BBVA) and Banco Santander (MC: SAN) increased by 3.03% and 3.38%.

Shares of Thyssenkrupp AG (DE: TKAG) rose 1.32% amid reports that Tata Steel is in talks with the company about a potential merger of their operational units in Europe.

Shares of Volkswagen (DE: VOWG_p) gained 0.99% after the German automaker announced modifications in Beetle model, resulting in a maximum speed increased to 205 miles per hour.

The London FTSE 100 index grew by 0.59%, as UK banks track the rise of European colleagues.

Shares of Royal Bank of Scotland (LON: RBS) rose 1.06%, shares in HSBC Holdings (LON: HSBA) rose 1.46%, while shares of Lloyds Banking (LON: LLOY) and Barclays (LON: BARC) jumped by 2.59% and 3.92% respectively.

The mining sector also notes the rise, as shares of BHP Billiton (LON: BLT) gained 0.73%, shares of Anglo American (LON: AAL) rose 1.69%, and shares of Rio Tinto (LON: RIO) rose 1.76%.

In the US, equity markets pointed to a higher open. Futures of Dow Jones Industrial Average show a 0.44% growth, S & P 500 rose 0.45%, and Nasdaq 100 reported an increase by 0.51%.
