The French stock market closed lower; CAC 40 fell 0.36%

The French stock market closed Wednesday trading lower amid negative dynamics in the health, utilities and oil and gas sectors.

At the close of the Paris stock exchange, CAC 40 fell 0.36%, and SBF 120 index fell 0.28%.

The leaders of growth among the components of the CAC 40 index were the shares of Bouygues SA (PA: BOUY), which rose 0.34 p (1.28%), closing at 26.94. The quotes of Axa SA (PA: AXAF) rose 0.23 p (1.26%), ending trading at 18.50. Shares of Credit Agricole SA (PA: CAGR) rose 0.071 p (0.86%), closing at 8.284.

Leaders of falling were the shares of ArcelorMittal SA (AS: ISPA), the price of which has fallen by 0.205 p (3.47%), ending the session at around 5.695. Shares of Sanofi SA (PA: SASY) fell 1.84 p (2.52%) to 71.21, and Renault SA (PA: RENA) decreased in price by 1.26 p (1.63%) and finished trading at around 75.88.

The leaders of growth among the SBF 120 index were the shares of Vallourec SA (PA: VLLP), which rose 10.36% to reach 3.877, Europcar Groupe SA (PA: EUCAR), which gained 3.08% to close at the level of 7.79, and shares of Natixis (PA: CNAT), which rose 2.72%, ending the session at around 3.813.

The worst performers were the shares of ArcelorMittal SA (AS: ISPA), which fell in price by 3.47%, closing at 5.695. Shares of Numericable SFR SA (PA: SFRGR) lost 2.62% and finished the session at 22.300. the quotes of Sanofi SA (PA: SASY) decreased in price by 2.52% to reach 71.21.

At the Paris stock exchange, the number of advancing securities (347) exceeded the number closed in the red (296), and the quotes of 124 shares remained virtually unchanged.

Meanwhile, in the Forex market, EUR/USD pair rose 0.53% to 1.1174, and EUR/GBP rose 0.43%, reaching 0.8588.

The USD index fell 0.48% to 95.60.
