The bitcoin conference "Satoshi Vision", which was held in Tokyo, was attended by many industry players and developers who discussed the future of the cryptocurrency and their development. As part of the event, Amaury Séchet, lead developer of the Bitcoin ABC client, gave an interview and talked about his vision of the future of the Bitcoin Cash cryptocurrency, which he highlighted in the speech at the conference.
"In general, I talked about the direction I would like to see the development of the Bitcoin Cash network. First, I told about the values of our project, to explain to people what we want to achieve. Then I explained how we would like to see the development of the project - I talked about many things, but perhaps the most important were the points about instant confirmation and scaling ... These are the problems that perhaps will never be solved", says Séchet.
Séchet expressed his opinion about other development teams - Bitcoin Unlimited and Parity, who released alternative clients for BCH. The leading developer of Bitcoin ABC believes that the existence of several implementations is good, as they encourage each other to "work honestly" and develop.
“You want to keep the lawmakers honest and one of the problems in traditional government they are a monopoly. So if you have more than one implementation, it keeps everyone honest. If one implementation writes bad laws or a bad feature people are going to switch to another client”, Séchet said.
Séchet says that the presence of several customers allows you to regulate the work of the industry, calling the miners an analogue of the police or the justice system.
As part of the interview, the developer also talked about the opcodes, "colored coins" and how Bitcoin Cash plans to be assigned "Ethereum characteristics". In his opinion, OP-codes and technology of "colored coins" can bring smart contracts to the Bitcoin Cash network.
