The German stock market was mixed

The German stock market finished Monday trading in different directions due to the strengthening of the consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and transport and logistics sectors on one hand, and the negative dynamics on the part of utilities, retail trade and construction sectors on the other hand.

At the close of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, DAX 30 fell 0.07%, MDAX index rose 0.05%, and TecDAX index rose 0.35%.

The leaders of growth among DAX 30 index components were the shares of adidas AG (DE: ADSGN), which rose 2.050 p (1.40%), closing at 148.800. The quotes of Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE: LHAG) increased by 0.100 p (0.94%), ending trading at 10.730. The shares of Merck KGaA (DE: MRK) rose 0.720 p (0.73%), closing at 99.480.

The worst performers were the shares of RWE AG (DE: RWEG), the price of which fell 0.600 p (3.77%), ending the session at around 15.305. Shares of E.ON AG (DE: EONGn) fell 0.213 p (2.22%) to 9.379, and Commerzbank AG (DE: CBKG) fell 0.131 p (2.22%) to 5.765.

The leaders of MDAX index components were the shares of Fuchs Petrolub AG (DE: FPEG_p), up 2.86% to reach 38.825, Brenntag AG (DE: BNRGn), up 1.76% to 45.190, as well as shares of Covestro AG (DE: 1COV), which rose 1.53%, ending the session at around 42.420.

The worst results came from the shares of Stroeer SE (DE: SAXG), down 2.82%, closing at 41.310, shares of the copany Aareal Bank (DE: ARLG), down 2.52% to 28.620, and shares of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank AG (DE: PBBG), down 2.19% to 8.39.

The leaders of growth among the TecDAX index components were the shares of Nemetschek AG (DE: NEKG), which rose 2.58% to reach 57.710, while the worst performer was Slm Solution G (DE: AM3D), which fell in price by 3.89%, closing at 23.84.

On the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, the number of advancing securities (462) exceeded the number closed in the red (416), and the quotes of 31 shares remained virtually unchanged.

Meanwhile, EUR/USD is at 1.1174, and EUR/GBP rose 0.21%, reaching 0.8465.

The USD Index rose 0.08% to 95.61.
