The Japanese stock market went up; Nikkei 225 gained 1.91%

Japan's stock market closed the Wednesday trading with growth due to consolidation of steel industry, mechanical engineering, pulp and paper industry sectors.

At the close of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Nikkei 225 rose 1.91%, reaching a monthly high.

The leaders of growth among the components of the Nikkei 225 index at the end of trading were the shares of Yaskawa Electric Corp. (T: 6506), which went up by 127.0 p. (10.11%), closing at 1383.0. Quotes of Pioneer Corp. (T: 6773) rose 25.0 p. (7.91%), ending trading at 341.0. Papers of NTN Corp. (T: 6472) rose 34.0 p. (6.40%), closing at 565.0.

Leaders of falling were shares of Konami Corp. (T: 9766), the price of which fell by 107.0 p. (3.96%), ending the session at around 2598.0. Shares of Tosoh Corp. (T: 4042) fell 17.0 p. (2.66%) to close at 622.0, and Shionogi & Co., Ltd. (T: 4507) fell in price by 90.0 p. (2.11%) and closed trading at around 4180.0.

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the number of advancing securities (1636) exceeded the number closed in the red (234), and quotes of 1 share remained virtually unchanged.

Shares of Pioneer Corp. (T: 6773) rose to a 52-week high, rising 7.91%, 25.0 p., and finishing the trade at the level of 341.0.

The volatility Index - Nikkei Volatility, which is based on options trading indicators of Nikkei 225, fell 2.11% to reach 25.54, reaching a new monthly minimum.

The futures for WTI crude oil for December delivery lost 0.96%, or 0.45, getting to $ 45.85 per barrel. As for other commodities, the price of Brent crude oil for December delivery fell 0.65%, or 0.32, to $ 48.40 for a barrel. Gold futures for December delivery fell 0.29%, or 3.40, to $ 1174.10 per ounce.

Meanwhile the Forex pair USD/JPY rose 0.05% to 119.91, and the quotation of EUR/JPY rose 0.03%, reaching 136.03.

The USD Index rose 0.04% to 94.94.
