The first batch of iPhone 7 Plus smartphones was sold worldwide, and Apple Inc (NASDAQ: AAPL) is preparing to put in shops new devices in the near future, the company said on Wednesday.
The first batch of the new Apple phones of a larger size were sold in all colors, and the small iPhone 7 was sold in the new color "black onyx", the company said. The new batch of smartphones will be in stores on Friday.
"We sincerely thank our customers for their patience and we work hard to deliver the new iPhone as soon as possible to all who want to get it", - said Apple representative, Trudy Muller.
Apple presented the new phones in early September at an event in San Francisco. The manufacturer has equipped gadgets with improved camera and donated conventional headphone jack in favor of the new technology.
Contrary to tradition, the company won’t publish the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus sales results on the first weekend after the launch, because it believes that this figure reflects the offer rather than demand.
The bad news for Apple Inc comes from Japan. The experts at the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Japan said that Apple and Google, owned by Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOGL) Inc, are performing acts that undermine competition in the market applications for smartphones.
The two methods identified by experts - the restriction of payment methods, which can be carried out by the developers, and the preventing the use of virtual currency between applications - may be a violation of antitrust laws of Japan, said the commission.
"We need to follow the development of the situation”, - the report says. “If the competition regulator finds any illegal actions, in response, it will have to take decisive legal action."
Apple and Google representatives were not available for comment.
