  • UK is to publish the index of purchasing managers in the construction industry.

  • New Zealand will publish a quarterly report on unemployment.
  • China will release the index of business activity in the services sector.
  • The UK is also to release a report on service sector activity.
  • US will release the ADP report on private sector employment.
  • Both the US and Canada will publish data on its trade balance.
  • Later, ISM will publish data on service sector activity.

Thursday, August 6

  • Australia is to publish a report on unemployment.
  • Germany is to publish data on the volume of orders in the industry sector.
  • Switzerland is to publish data on consumer price inflation.
  • UK is to publish a report on the volume of industrial production.

Friday, August 7

  • The Bank of Japan is to announce the interest rate decision and publish the accompanying statement. Following the meeting, a press conference is scheduled.
  • The Swiss National Bank will publish data on the volume of foreign exchange reserves. These data indicate the presence and scope of bank interventions in the foreign exchange market.
  • Canada is to release data on building permits, as well as the employment report.
  • US completes the week with a government report on nonfarm payrolls.
