What to expect from Apple in 2016?

01.01.2016

For Apple (AAPL), 2015 year was very productive in terms of new gadgets released on the market, despite the fact that it was not so lucrative for investors. However, the giant does not stop here and in 2016 it is looking to delight the fans with new gadgets, applications and features. Here is the most important of them.

iPhone 7 – this model promises to be more intuitive but there is much controversy about the removal of the headphone jack, so that the customers will have to buy Bluetooth-connected or Lightning headphones. One of the advantages will be the much better camera with 2 lenses and a waterproof iPhone, according to Pressman.

Apple Watch 2 – Apple is the brand that made smart watches popular worldwide with its great innovation – Apple Watch. For many people this gadget transformed from entertainment into necessity. The second model is supposed to be launched at an Apple event in March 2016. This version should be a little thinner and cooler. Also, the battery life should be much longer.

iPad upgrades –the iPad Pro was released relative recently – in 2015, so don’t expect to have another version in this year.  However, the users can find some great developments on the app side, particularly due to reorganization of the app store.

Other Apple surprises – Apple can make a solid investment into the virtual reality space.  The startup Faceshift was purchased not too long ago.  It helped in producing some of the special effects in the latest Star Wars film. Apple can get close to virtual reality market giants like Google (GOOGL), Samsung and even Facebook (FB).

As for the Internet of Things, which is said to be the most promising technology in the future, Apple hasn’t yet come with amazing innovations, except its software HomeKit development platform. Apple can introduce some great hardware of its own, like automated cameras, light bulbs, door locks, and so on, says Pressman.

As you can see, Apple has great plans for this year, and nothing can stop it, but we will see if this will also have an effect on stocks.
